Affiliate Disclosure

Last updated: April 25, 2025

The Carry-On Kids participates in affiliate marketing programs. This means that some links on this site are affiliate links — if you click one and make a purchase or booking, we may earn a small commission at no extra cost to you.

Why we use affiliate links

Running a travel blog has real costs: hosting, software, and the time it takes to research and write honest, detailed guides. Affiliate commissions help us keep the content free and the blog going. We only link to products and services we would genuinely recommend to a friend.

Our affiliate partners

  • GetYourGuide — tours, activities, and attraction tickets. When you book through a GetYourGuide link on this site, we earn a commission on the sale.
  • Other partners — we may from time to time add links to hotels, accommodation, travel gear, or other travel services through networks such as CJ Affiliate, Booking.com, or similar. These will always be clearly linked.

How to identify affiliate links

Affiliate links are marked with rel="sponsored" in the HTML. Posts that contain affiliate links display a notice at the top: "This post contains affiliate links." We aim to be transparent so you always know when we may benefit from a click.

Our editorial independence

Affiliate relationships never influence what we write. We research and visit the places we recommend ourselves. If we didn't think something was worth your time or money, we wouldn't link to it — commission or not.

FTC compliance

This disclosure is made in accordance with the U.S. Federal Trade Commission's guidelines on endorsements and testimonials (16 CFR Part 255). EU visitors: this is also our disclosure under applicable EU consumer protection and advertising transparency rules.
